World Cup 2010 Qualifying Fixtures, Results & Table: Oceania
The Oceania Zone has 0.5 spots for the 2010 World Cup in South
Africa. The team that comes through qualifying in the Oceania Zone
will play off home and away against the fifth-placed Asian team.
10 teams began qualification American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji,
New Zealand (bye), New Caledonia, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Tonga,
Vanuatu, Western Samoa.
Round One
All 10 teams except New Zealand (bye) took part in the South Pacific
Games in Samoa with the top three teams progressing to Round Two.
Round Two
The top 3 Round One teams and New Zealand form a four team group
and meet each other home and away. The top 2 teams from this group
advance to Round Three.
